Saginaw Township Fire Department

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP FIRE FIGHTER OF THE YEAR

Saginaw Township Fire Fighter of the Year, Fire Fighter, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, Public Fire Educator Brian Wolpert. Brian has many years on the department along with a long list of certifications and has served in a variety of positions over the years. His enthusiasm, professionalism, dedications, and work ethic is second to none. In many instances he puts the department and the projects he is working on before his own personal needs.

When he takes on a project he doesn’t stop until it’s done to perfection. He does an outstanding job of keeping our Facebook page up to date with current information, he is our schools teaching fire education to our children, he schedules and presents hundreds of prevention programs around the township working with a number churches, businesses, and local charities.

He engineered a smoke alarm program that was successful in installing over 1,000 smoke alarms and over 250 carbon monoxide detectors in Saginaw Township homes, he took on the challenge of placing AED’s in all our buildings and on all our apparatus, and doing it all thru grants, costing the township nothing, he obtained a grant to purchase a Sparkey suit for fire prevention programs that is huge hit with the kids, and these are just a few of the projects that have made Saginaw Township a better place. We could go on and on about the incredible job he does for Saginaw Township day in and day out conducting fire inspections, investigating fires, and his abilities as a fire fighter and leader.

Brian is an incredible individual, we are extremely pleased he is on our team.

STATION ONE FIRE FIGHTER OF THE YEAR

He has stepped up as a leader at the station not only sitting in the officer’s seat but offering his experience as a mentor to probationary fire fighters. His positive attitude, upbeat personality, and supportive nature are reasons he was chosen fire fighter of the year.
