The Saginaw Charter Township Art In Public Places is proud to present the State of the Arts Exhibition 2015. This year’s annual event is hosted by the Saginaw Township Art In Public Places Committee. The show opens Sunday, April 26, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., with awards presentation at 3:00 p.m. This show is open to the public free of charge. The music will be provided by the Heritage High School Quartet and light desserts will be provided. This is a juried exhibition with cash awards totaling $4,375.
The Art Juror for this year's Exhibition is Vicki Frappier, born in Westfir, Oregon, grew up in Michigan, and attended College in Southern California at Mira Costa College. Vicki is the current jury/curator at Fandangles, and the Flint Institute of Arts Sales and Rental Gallery. She has also juried shows for the Flushing Art in the Park Summer Show, Grand Blanc Art Summer Show, and Left Bank Gallery and Shiawasee Art Gallery All media Competitions.
Ms. Frappier is a mixed media artist and art instructor. She has taught at the Flint Institute of Arts, and through the Flushing Community School System. Her work has been exhibited at numerous Michigan art galleries and can be found in Private, Corporate, and federally funded Art collections internationally. Her beautiful unique mixed media artworks show her love for experimenting with different mediums, styles, and techniques.
This year's State of the Arts Exhibition is underwritten by: W.L. The art exhibit will be shown at the Saginaw Charter Township Hall, 4980 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, Michigan, during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 p.m., April 26 through May 22, 2015.
